Week 7 Injury Updates; A mess of a season so far

Another week of NFL action has passed. One thing that has been consistant all year is major injuries throughout the league. Just this week the Packers lost Ahman Green and Robert Ferguson (though Ferguson should be back in 4-6). The Raiders lost Woodson to a broken leg, and a safety to a knee injury. That was Charles Woodson's last game as a Raider, they say he could be back at seasons end, but they'll be out of it and he'll be rehabing to impress for a new contract elsewhere. Chris Brown got banged up once again. He needs to change his style immediately or he'll have a very short career. He's a great talent, and very big, but he runs completely upright which leads to huge hits and exposure to major injuries. Just last week Griese tore his ACL, so this week we see Phil's son Chris Simms step into the starting role. Julius Jones will miss a few more weeks, and Parcells is starting to question his overall durability. Joe Horn is still out with his hammy issues. Bulger is out, Torry Holt has a knee issue. Randy Moss is still banged up, but played through it and got a TD, encouraging news for his dissapointed owners. Every season has it's major injuries, I've been fortunate enough to experience several of them on my own team. You can recover from them. The best way is to look for a player with upside on the free agent list. Many leagues have Travis Henry, or did have Tony Fisher available. Another good pick up off of injuries is the much hyped Tyrone Calico, who figures to be a valuable bye week fill in this week against the decimated Raiders secondary. Marion Barber is a great play against the super weak Cardinals defense. The injuries so far this season have left many fantasy owners at a loss, but you cant simply give up you pussy. You need to make moves, trade, add and harrass others to claw your way back. Because even if you dont win it all, you can atleast take some of your friends down with you.

Not an NFL injury, but shit this is gross

If you have a depth of talent at a certain position, start shopping around your league for a deal, identify the owners who have need positions that you own depth in, you should be able to make a deal. The best way to complete a deal in fantasy football is to call the owner you want to deal with and talk them into it. Don't over do it. Let them know that you are interested in a few players, even if you just want one, and mention the players you have that could help them. It's especially useful to trade with a losing team, who could really use a shake up on their roster. My team is still in some trouble, but I've made some moves that have really helped me remain competitive. I picked up Heath Miller after trading away Jason Witten, since I made the deal Miller is producing at a stronger clip. Look for players that will offer consistancy and touches, players who are important roles in their offense. It is still only half way through the fantasy season, you have a lot of oppurunity to rebound from a weak start. You also need to be aware that you should build for the second half if your strong. Don't carry some douche bag player on your roster who is not producing just because you like him, your passing up on talent that you could add through waivers and free agency.

Tomorrow is a full preview of week 8, it wont be up till the PM since I have work to do you clown shoes

Why Not?
