Looks and Touches Week 7

Green Bay at Cinci;

This is a great matchup despite what many would think. The 1-5 Pack looks to get throat gulched by the 5-2 Bengals. I'm not so sure about that. The Pack must win this game. No matter what they must win. If they don't there's no way they can contend in their horrid division. The Bengals are in a tough spot too. In their next 4 games after this they play Bmore twice, the Steelers and the Colts. If they go into that stretch 5-3 they could ruin their great start and become the Bengals again. What hurts the Pack is that Cinci is a stout pass defense, and a very suspect run defense. With Ahman out, even though he was shitty so far, they have to rely on an unproven starting back in Tony Fisher and deal with one less reciever with Ferguson out. The Bengals were destroyed last week. Completely anally probed by the Steelers at home. Marvin can not let them look past Green Bay. I like the Bengals only because of their home advantage and their need for the win this week.

Good Plays; Chad will go nuts, he may get to do two celebrations this week after having one called back last week. Rudi finally gives his owners some love after a very disapointing fantasy season so far. Carson is an obvious stud here. Play TJ, he'll have Ahmad Carrol who is an incompetent starting corner on him all day. I like Brett despite the matchup, they'll be down early and he'll be looking to Driver and Chatman for the second half. Tony Fisher is interesting here, he's a traditional 3rd down back forced into the starting role, I actually like him here, if not on the ground in the passing game, he's an excellent recieving back. I'd actually sit both defenses here, and play both kickers.

chad's weekly shit talking is among the best i've ever heard;
here's some for you from about this matchup

Wide receiver Chad Johnson said Packers cornerback Al Harris will offer his toughest challenge this season, but that didn't stop him from being… well, Chad Johnson. "There are two things for Brother Harris this week," Johnson told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "The bad thing is, he has to cover me. The good is, he can save 15 percent by switching his insurance to Geico."

KC at San Diego;

LT is one angry motherfucker. He had 7 yards on the ground last week. That will not happen here. I still dont understand how the Birds were that effective against him. The Chiefs will be looking at lots of tape, but they simply don't have the personnel to pull it out here. Despite the offseason investments in the defense, it's still run by Cunningham and lacks a real pass rush. The Chargers know they let Philly steal a win last week. They will take it out on KC. The game comes down to who can limit the explosive offenses. It seems the Chargers are much better equipped to handle that challenge. I like the Bolts linebackers, especially the super underrated Donnie Edwards. Despite previous messages to the contrary, it's clear that the Cheifs still employ the two backs theory. Priest is still a beast, but LJ isn't going away either. I was happy to see Tony G finally get some love last week. A TD would be even better proof that he's back. In a true shoot out the Chargers take the game, as they begin to recover from a brutal schedule stretch.

Good Plays; It's hard to say sit LJ, you obviously play Priest here. I like Gates for a great game, him and Brees do very well together at home. Brees and McCardell will link up for a touch. Trent Green and Tony will finally put up some numbers. It always takes them a while to get their numbers. Sit both defenses, and play both kickers. LT is out for revenge, he's fuckin white girls and takin names, so look out.

Zona at Dallas;

When he's not busy smacking around assistants and homeless people Parcell's is an excellent game plan coach coming off a loss. Just like I said, the Boys were drunk off that Eagles beating still. They let themselves believe they were the cream of the division, no dice homos. The Boys have relied on Bledsoe to win so far, and its been fairly effective. If you can get to him early though he'll throw picks and cost you the game. I know he's been great so far, but I wonder how he'll play once teams get to him. Lucky for them they play the Cardinals. A trendy preseason pick for the division, the Cardinals are a joke on defense, and even worse in the running game. They rival the Eagles in their tendency to throw first throw second run last scheme. The Boys are a good run defense, but have shown that they can be beat deep. If McCown can get some protection, a big if, this game could be close, and maybe even approach upsetville if Fittz and Boldin can dominate. I'm picking the Cardinals, since I hate the Cowboys and think they're crazy overrated.

Good Plays; Larry Fittz is a top 5 reciever in my opinion, Boldin had no catches last week, but he'll rebound, McCown will get 2TDS but is a turnover risk. I like Marion Barber this week, Witten and Glenn, Bledsoe will get his, but will throw some picks too. Play the Boys defense, despite what I said earlier, that was Cowboy hate. Sit any Zona rb, they suck donkey shaft. Play Rackers, and I have no clue who the Boys new kicker is.

Jax at Rams;

This is a game of two very different teams going in very different directions. The Jags are a solid contender in the AFC. No joke, Del Rio is a great coach who is using his stingy defense to keep him in games and allowing Lefty to manage the game without having to score too much. I like the Jags here. They will rape Martin. His name is Jaimie. I read that Martz tried to send a play in last week over the phone and was barred from doing so by the ownership. That rocks. Sit at home with your turd heart and watch your "masterpiece" offense actually run the ball. Steven Jackson is a stud, and last week was the first game he was allowed to really show it. This is not a good week to run anyway though, as the Jags are the rare defense adept at stopping both the run and pass. Holt and Bruce are both injured so it makes it even tougher to compete for the Rams. Look for a solid day from the Jags offense as their young passing game (sans Smith) is maturing with every game.

Good Plays; The Jags have several plays, their defense is a solid play weekly, Leftwitch has never had a 3td day, it may happen here. Taylor is back and should pile up yards, and maybe even a TD, but dont get your hopes up. Jimmy is a solid play as well. Sit your Rams, play only Curtis and Jackson. This will be a dominating game by the Jags, but it wont be reflected in the score, look for a 10 point win here.

Philly at Denver;

After a miracle win by Philly, and a miracle loss by Denver, both teams here fight to settle into their schemes. The Eagles have been chastised for their utter lack of a running game. The Broncos boast an all star secondary but have allowed teams to come back on them through the air. The birds will look to establish a little balance on offense, while they rely on their defenses awesome potential. With the exception of the Cowboys rape incident, the Eagles defense has been stout in most every aspect. I like how the Broncos have established a pass rush for the first time in years, but that won't be effective as McNabb will look to the screen game all day with LJ and B.West. This game is a true test for the Birds. If they win they prove they are indeed the top threat again the NFC, a loss leaves them among the many half ass teams. The Broncos are not a real threat in their conference. The chargers are a better team, as well as the Jags, Colts and Steelers. I expect them to compete here for the first three quarters. But they have no solution for a very focused McNabb. Look for the Birds by 7. Shannahan has googly eyes by the way.

Good Plays; Donnie Mac and TO get back on pace and put up very solid numbers. B West does well with over a buck total and 7+ receptions. I like LJ for good totals, he's a moron with the ball though, he has never learned how to take a hit naturally. Plummer is a shaky play anyway, and with shoulder issues I'm wary of him. Look for Bell to fumble but have nice yards. Anderson is not a good play. Play the Birds defense and Elam.

Two incompetent leaders

miketicebush_is_stupid

Minny at Carolina;

Despite last weeks big division win, the Vikings are still a sack of morons. They have no direction. Mike Tice is complete goon, his baby huey act is running thin. Every time I see him I wonder who hired him? C-Pep needs him out, so he can repair his career. The team made a big investment in their defense this season much like KC. However KC actually signed real talent, young and emerging talent that will help them in years to come. The Vikings picked up Smoot, who is a talent but is too busy playin captain stabbin to defend a wideout. Sharper is old and has had injury concerns all year. And oh yeah, they traded away the best deep threat ever for 8 bucks and a box of shinola. Fuck what ya heard this offseason, you never improve when you lose a top two or three talent and replace it with youth. The Eagles should learn from the Vikes and do what it takes to keep TO, even though he's a raging assclown, he's the top at his game and there's no one on board to replace his production. In any case, Carolina is begining to get a hold on its defense. They are still good against the run but they allow huge passing games. Look for them to give up some yards here, but their pass rush is deadly for Daunte. This bodes well for a Viking team that lives in the air (and fucks at sea). The only problem is that Jake and Stevie will also have a field day. The Vikings are done this year, as long as they have that deep octave spooge at the top they'll fail. Word to moms the Panthers take this game.

Good Plays; I actually like C-Pep here, for good yards and a couple of strikes, but he may fumble the game away. Mewelde Moore continues to put up over a buck in totals every game, he doesent need TDs to help you. Burleson may finally get his TD and a solid day. Look for Wiggins to continue his possesion game. I love Jake and Steve, and S.Davis will get in the endzone, possibly twice. The Carolina D is a play for sacks and to's but not for points allowed, I like both kickers as this game could open up. Look for Mangum to get some redzone looks in the Panthers offense.

Cleveland at Houston;

The Browns don't need too much motivation here. They are underdogs to the fucking Texans. The Houston Texans are favored. Repeat that to yourself. The vegas heads have little faith in Dilfer here. I actually agree. This will be the Texans first win of the season. Even though they've been bad, the Brown's pass rush is fairly weak, and that will allow Carr to stay upright for once. Carr has never had a great statistical season to say the least, but last year he put up 16TDs and 3500 yards. This year he's no where near those numbers. You can't simply blame him. His coaching staff has not addressed the offensive line since the team;s inception. This week Carr may finally be able to put up some modest numbers. The Browns have a very good coach in Crenell and a young talent base at skill positions. Give Romeo another draft or two and he'll havae this team back in the mix, much like Marvin Lewis did in Cinci. It takes time to clean up a franchise, and what do people in Cleveland have besides time? and ugly girls. This game comes down to the Browns innability to slow D.Davis, he will open things up for Carr and keep the Browns honest. I actually like the Texans to grab a dub here, maybe their only one all year.

Good Plays; Two shitty teams often produce some good fantasy plays, this is the exception. I would stat Davis no doubt, maybe play the Browns defense, although they don't do well on the road. Ruben has put up great yardage with no TDs, he's a retarded portis clone, I like him a lot here though, they'll limit Dilfers throws and allow Ruben to get one, maybe 2 TDs. I like Andre Johnson to have a decent game, he's too talented to put up slop all year. Play Braylon Edwards if your in a jam, he's a mega talent ala Larry Fittz and will become a viable fantasy play at the end of this season.

Tenn at Oakland;

Oakland was supposed to have a potent offense with the addition of Moss and a strong running game. Norv Turner is a vertical game coach and his personnel seemed perfect to implement his system. None of this has happened. After throwing 3 TDs in the opener against the Pats, Collins and crew have produced 7 TDs in the air, with Jordan matching them on the ground. Predictions were hovering around 30-35 for Collins, it now seems that 24 is more accuarate. I think the lack of supporting talent catches up with them. Porter is a talent, but having him and Moss on the field assures that your WR's are taking half of the plays off. Porter has killed Moss so far. He was supposed to be the possesion guy, the player who opened up the deep route and allowed Randy to get some single dingle. Instead look for a heavy dose of Jordan all year. The Titans are better than expected. They have a young aggressive defense and Fisher is a great coach with little to work with. I like Travis Henry and Chris Brown, just not in the same backfield. McNair needs to retire after this year, the team needs to move in a new offensive direction. It seems that when Volek plays the ball flies, when McNair plays, the tight ends produce and little else. This is Oakland's game to lose, I see them winning with a healthy dose of Jordan, but this will be a close game.

Good Plays; Play Jordan, he's a monster that won't stop, I like Gabriel again, Moss is gimpy but you'll play him if he's a go, he's always a TD threat atleast. Play Troupe and Kinney now that McNair is back, its tough to endorse Henry or Brown, although Brown needs to stave him off, so start Brown if you must. Sit both defenses, play Collins sit McNair. Play both kickers. Fuck off hoser.

Miami at NO;

In the Saints first Baton Rouge game, expect them to lose. Fuck emotions, the Dolphins are rested after that friday game and are hungry to get a win. Brooks has been solid since Duece was injured, but they lost both games. I like how the dolphins play, tough defense and a running/tight end attack. They can execute their dual backfield all day here. Ronnie Brown has quietly been putting up a solid rookie campaign. McMichael would be a top three tight end if he had a real QB in there. Chambers would again be a top 10-15 WR too, but it comes down to QB play. If the fins can get a hold of a QB in the next two years (Brees/Rivers?) they could be a very solid team. They need to act quickly though, their defense is super old and faces changeover soon. New Orleans is set to be the next Los Angeles franchise according to many NFL sources. Atleast they have that going for them. Football wise Haslett is a meatball. He's tough and cocky and shit, but couldnt coach the Colts to the playoffs. Look for Miami to control the game, with Ricky finally getting some yardage.

Good Plays; Ronnie Brown is a must play, Ricky is a weak play, but may get some passes to keep him involved. I like the Fins d/st this week. Brooks should get some yards but will always get his int's. Play McMichael and Chambers, sit Frerotte. Look for Stallworth to have high receptions, no TD though. Play the NO kicker, he'll be used heavily.

Tampa at San Fran;

Another facial is coming to the bay, and no its not deep throat 2, it's Tampa in Alex Smith's ass for 60 minutes. After an impressive start to the season, the Niners are paying for the tutelage of Smith. He may end up being a good QB, I don't see it, but no matter what it won't be in this game. The Bucs will destroy this kid. The Lac is out of the shop, Simms gets his chance to start for an extended time and Gruden had the bye to exactly prepare how and where he's gonna throat pump these fools on Sunday. Tampa is considered a contender in the NFC, with a stout defense and young offensive talent, it's not a reach. No prediction recqiured here.

Good Plays; Play your Bucs, both recievers Joey and Mike, look for Mike to finally produce. The Lac will roll, with two TDs and a ton of yards. Look for the tight end Alex Smith to get looks now that Simms is in. And play Simms if you must, he's gonna get 2tds and solid yards in this blowout. The Tampa Def is a no brainer. Sit every single Niner.

Buffalo at Pats;

Despite the popular opinion, the Pats are not reeling. They're defense is super injured, but with Bruschi back soon and with Bellichick having a week off it's no question they are focused on killing the Bills. I don't like the Bills at all here. Holcombe has played well, but not against very good comp. The Bills must rely on Willis, although it won't be enough here. Brady is too smart to force it into the Bills stellar secondary, I expect a healthy Dillon and some screens to Pass to move the ball all day. No one has stepped up in this divison to challenge the Pats. This game will be textbook, lots of Corey, lots of pressure on Holcombe with Bill's exotic blitzs all day.

Good Plays; Play Willis and Corey, they'll each get high 20's in touches. Play the Pats defense if you must. I like Branch for receptions. Play Brady, sit Holcombe. Moulds and Evans are suspect plays, I like Moulds more of the two though. Play both kickers. Expect a solid win from the champs.

Chicago at Detroit;
In what seems to be the matchup that defines who's the best of the worst division in football, I expect an ugly turnover ladden field goal battle. Chi town is going in a great direction. Once they get a hold of a QB, and not Rex, they'll be a real playoff team. They have a young mean defense. A solid running game. And some talent on offense but with no QB to deliver. Orton is a game manager. A shitty on at that. Look below, that's really him. I would party too if was a pro QB, but c'mon dude, are you on top of the bar? In any case, I like the Lions here. They will play better with Garcia and Mike Williams will emerge as the only sober/healthy reciever on the team. In a close contested battle I like the Lions, even though the Bears are a better team, they'll have trouble on the road in this one.

Good Plays; Mike Williams is emerging, keep an eye on him. Play both Jones's at RB, with Thomas being the stronger play. Play both kickers and both defenses, in what will be an ugly game. Sit all receivers otherwise, maybe look to Pollard if you must. Orton is one drunk goon.

What a complete fucking Goon

Wash at NYG; real fast, I'm off to Bermuda hoes. I doubt there's too much NFL there, but I'll get what I can. This game is hard to call. The Skins are the better team. They win a close one.
Play Brunell, Eli, Moss and Schockey, watch Burress he 's hurt , turds, I have to go , peace.

Week 7 Injury Updates; A mess of a season so far

Another week of NFL action has passed. One thing that has been consistant all year is major injuries throughout the league. Just this week the Packers lost Ahman Green and Robert Ferguson (though Ferguson should be back in 4-6). The Raiders lost Woodson to a broken leg, and a safety to a knee injury. That was Charles Woodson's last game as a Raider, they say he could be back at seasons end, but they'll be out of it and he'll be rehabing to impress for a new contract elsewhere. Chris Brown got banged up once again. He needs to change his style immediately or he'll have a very short career. He's a great talent, and very big, but he runs completely upright which leads to huge hits and exposure to major injuries. Just last week Griese tore his ACL, so this week we see Phil's son Chris Simms step into the starting role. Julius Jones will miss a few more weeks, and Parcells is starting to question his overall durability. Joe Horn is still out with his hammy issues. Bulger is out, Torry Holt has a knee issue. Randy Moss is still banged up, but played through it and got a TD, encouraging news for his dissapointed owners. Every season has it's major injuries, I've been fortunate enough to experience several of them on my own team. You can recover from them. The best way is to look for a player with upside on the free agent list. Many leagues have Travis Henry, or did have Tony Fisher available. Another good pick up off of injuries is the much hyped Tyrone Calico, who figures to be a valuable bye week fill in this week against the decimated Raiders secondary. Marion Barber is a great play against the super weak Cardinals defense. The injuries so far this season have left many fantasy owners at a loss, but you cant simply give up you pussy. You need to make moves, trade, add and harrass others to claw your way back. Because even if you dont win it all, you can atleast take some of your friends down with you.

Not an NFL injury, but shit this is gross
collegehumor.1612767.451xAUTO

If you have a depth of talent at a certain position, start shopping around your league for a deal, identify the owners who have need positions that you own depth in, you should be able to make a deal. The best way to complete a deal in fantasy football is to call the owner you want to deal with and talk them into it. Don't over do it. Let them know that you are interested in a few players, even if you just want one, and mention the players you have that could help them. It's especially useful to trade with a losing team, who could really use a shake up on their roster. My team is still in some trouble, but I've made some moves that have really helped me remain competitive. I picked up Heath Miller after trading away Jason Witten, since I made the deal Miller is producing at a stronger clip. Look for players that will offer consistancy and touches, players who are important roles in their offense. It is still only half way through the fantasy season, you have a lot of oppurunity to rebound from a weak start. You also need to be aware that you should build for the second half if your strong. Don't carry some douche bag player on your roster who is not producing just because you like him, your passing up on talent that you could add through waivers and free agency.

Tomorrow is a full preview of week 8, it wont be up till the PM since I have work to do you clown shoes

Week 7 Review;

I can't go into too much depth here with week 7. I am tired and recovering from a debaucherous nyc weekend, but I'll give you a healthy run down of the top stories. Tomorrow I'll go into depth about what the implacations of week 7 fantasy wise.

very very true
collegehumor.11490.451xAUTO

  • Can you believe the Eagles domination of LT? My birds had no business winning that game, but their defensive performance over LT was incredible, 7 fucking yards, that will never happen again in his whole career. Trade for him now, while he's low for the first time ever.
  • It was an ugly ugly scoring week overall, tons of low scoring fg games. But props to Brown and Edinger, the Seahawks and Minny kickers who won their games on last second 50 yard plus fg's, I like seeing the Pack and Cowboys lose like that.
  • C-Pep had a good game, Mewelde Moore played well; he had 100 total + yards in all of his starts this season. Wiggins is the only other player on that team producing.
  • The Edge is the Colts offense now, he is now in a class with Alexander and LT after their poor weeks allowed him to catch up.
  • No QB is a clear top option this season, you need to play matchups and trust your best QB, but no one will dominate every week like seasons past.
  • Watch the injury reports every sunday night, many players get hurt and you can benifit from other players injuries; Calico in Tenn may be the #1 moving from the #3 for example, or Tony Fisher making a similar move in the GB rb spot, Chatman may be the #2 for a while in GB after Ferguson got hurt, Hakim continues to be a play if Horn is still out, Gabriel is a better player than Porter in Oakland, so watch for him to continue nice numbers.
  • Mid season is when the trades in your league start to heat up, teams and players are now more settled in their role, the studs have cemented their place and its now getting to be that time that you look to the playoffs and build a team capable of winning you a chip.
  • Pay close attention to your teams playoff schedule, my league for example plays weeks 14-16 as playoffs, a stud who has a shitty tough schedule may not be a worthy as a solid player with a cake ending schedule, so keep your eyes on that prize.
  • I can't and will never be able to explain the Bird Sex post, it was a theory and a moment that made complete sense at the time.
  • Tonight Martin will play well, but the Falcons pass rush will be way too much for Vinny to handle

This is another rare baseball treasure

Crazy Night in New York City;

  • Sit Julius he's out, the boys will never release early info
  • Plax is starting, he's a big tall premantis
  • Hines Ward will start tomorrow so play him, the Cinnci Bengals are a suspect Defense
  • Kevin Jones is playing this week, however he's a cum guzzling queen (I drafted him 11th overall in one league I'm in)
  • Straight of the presses; a drunk animal here qouting me crazy references is describing sucking off a large pedestrian based bird, such as ostriches and their large fast friends, emus included.
  • bird sex is a major event in our life now
  • this is the pinnacle of my internet success, although very new to the blog game, i recently performed a 5 am search on google to corroborate my claim that their are those who will engage in sex with birds, either for their own gains, or for the betterment of society, this link is one of many detailing or current human and cranitia (birds) sexual encounters that threaten the land based future of our youth. Will this lead to our eventual flight? or is this just an entertaining night in a very scary very Bush America.
  • I apologize to all those who own and tend birds as a recreation or family pastime, please investigate all bird holes and be an aware pet owner.I implore all of you to research and involve yourself in this man bird sex.
  • Drugs are evil, they will tear apart your home here is suffiecient evidence, that man/bird hybrid sex is alive an well in nearly every township we hold sacred, never judge your neighbors, they may be a bird fucker

Sleepers Studs and Busts; Week 7
Remember; Miami host KC tonight at 7 pm

Not Football obviously, but an all time collectors item for any sports fan
collegehumor.69899.451xAUTO

Shit Talk Friday will be next week, I need some time to get some good shit, expect it every other week

Injuries are often the greatest conrtributor to a sleeper canidate. Brandon Jones this week is an obvious sleeper with Bennett out is a great example. Jones was a sleeper anyway, but his move to the number one is an upgrade. But you need to understand that sleepers are for weeks when you have injuries or bye's, if you have a starter that has been up and down but still is a focus of his offense, I'd most often go with him over some trendy sleeper pick. Again, it depends on your situation and the status of the player in question. Here are some picks for who will and won't perform this week;

Studs;

QB
  • D. McNabb to bounce back here, 3 maybe even 4 TD's in a must win pass fest in Philly. There's a couple more studs in this one as well.
  • Favre is a stud, always has been fantasy wisel he's good for big yards and 2TD
  • Brunell will get 2 and 300
  • McCown is in stud status; with two nearly 400 yard games and two top recievers, he's not a reach here against the Titans
  • Peyton will have a strong day, 2tds and 250
  • Palmer and Ben will both perform, although this is Palmers biggest game of his young career

    Hockey's back if anyone noticed
    collegehumor.53268.451xAUTO

RB
  • I like Willis to drop a gem on Oakland, multiple TDs for sure
  • Edge continues his role as the #3 RB in fantasy
  • LT: 150 total and TD minimum
  • TJones gives you no reason to sit him, yet
  • Lamont is a stud now, play him, Moss out is his key to go nuts
  • Steven Jackson has been very solid, and slept on pub wise
  • Dunn is a nice play
  • Shaun and Priest are good bets for you
  • I like Dom Davis to get high receptions and a TD on the ground
  • C Mart gets his in ATL on monday night, 120 and a TD
  • B West gets mid teens in fantasy points no matter what here

WR/TE
  • TO is gonna smoke em, 2TDs
  • Rod Smith is a stud with his matchup vs the Giants
  • Chad Marvin and Santanta all flirt with a buck and a TD
  • Some how both Zona wideouts do it again
  • Holt is always Holt, I cant go against a star like him
  • Play Driver, Favre said he'll be looking for him
  • I like Moulds as an actual stud, glad to see him back, Losman was obviously the issue
  • Gates is a force every week, plus who would sit him anyway?
  • Witten is back on track, he's had very solid totals since his slow start.
  • How is Tony G not a stud at all yet, him and Randy are good plays, remember its at 7pm on friday
  • I like Shockey for a TD again
  • LJ Smith should get some targets after the bye
  • Cooley is a stud all of a sudden, if you catch a lot as a TE, you can be useful right away, he's also the only bi position player I've ever seen
Sleepers;

  • Watch Oakland's Gabriel get a long TD and play well
  • Tatum is a sleeper untill he starts on his own team
  • Griffith in Atlanta takes the Duckett touches
  • Bettis will have multiple endzone looks
  • Troupe is a good play vs Zona, especially with Bennett out, watch for Kinney to get high receptions again as well
  • Courtney Anderson is a great bye week/injury play for you.
  • Franks and Wiggins could perform well, watch for Franks' injury status, he's generally a stone cold beeotch
  • Lelie is a long play master again, watch him burn the Giants more than once
  • Gaffney in Houston will be the target of many Carr panicks against that soft zone Indy loves
  • Ahman Green should roll, he is still a great talent, just has been used so heavily you wonder how much longer he can take it
  • Amani "its not a" Toomer will get a TD in a solid outing
  • Jamie Martin will get some nice yards and 2 TDs, but may throw 2 ints and cost them the game
  • Play Travis Taylor, Burleson is gonna play, but that could actually help Taylor
  • Mewelde Moore will reach the endzone, for the first time ever
  • Portis is a flake, but will get in the endzone, if not, literally start looking else were
  • A. Smith and Stecker both remain sleepers since you can't tell what the NO offense will do, start Smith if you must, he averaged nearly 7 yards a touch last week
  • Brandon Jones and Calico both get some waiver looks, we'll see, McNair could also look to his three TE and his back to handle the game
  • Plummer gets a great day going against such a week secondary in New York
  • Frerrotte gets 2TDs on KC
  • Play Brooks too, play anyone against the Rams
  • On that note, Stallworth and Devery Henderson are nice sleeper plays

Busts; this is actually the toughest thing to call, what shitheads will keep it up;

  • Culpepper; will still have a nice day with 2TDs, but will have multiple interceptions, he's more of a real life bust in this game; an acceptable fantasy play, but he's a bust and will be one untill he starts showing that he can dominate again, he was the second QB drafted in most leagues
  • I dont like E.Manning this week, just a feeling that he will be forced to come back and will toss some intros
  • Kerry Collins is already lackluster, against a top rated secondary he'll defer to Lamont, who could save kerry with some receieving TDs
  • Horn and Johnson, neither looks to play here, both were top 7-8 wr's taken in the drafts this year, Horn will be ok, but not for a minute, Johnson needs his offense to wake up first
  • Kevin Curtis may dissapoint those who are relying on him
  • Burress will have a tough matchup with Champ on him
  • Not sold on Jamal Lewis at all, he's a stinker so far, he should be getting TDs atleast
  • Willie Parker, Marcell Shipp and Kevin Jones, yup, KJ is in this sentencea, are all starters who are not to be played, KJ is injured so sit him even if he suits up

Big Balls McGraws here, Sleeper/Studs/Bust tommorow (friday morning).

I'm very biased since I have Chad Johnson on my squad, but he's the best entertainer in football in a long time, he says he's gonna tickle the ref or some shit this weekend when he singnals for his TD; "This would unquestionably earn Chad a fine…"

Week 6 looks and touches (the best way to evaluate a players value)

Indy at Houston;

-This game is seemingly easy to call. The Colts will crush the Texans this week. No shit asshole. The real information to extract is what players will perform in this game. Regardless of matchup you can not bank on the Indy passing game to explode. Marvin and Reggie are getting open, but they are more often than not blocking for their screen and run game. They have rarely been forced to show up this season. Down 17 nil this past monday they still deferred to defense and the running game. Peyton and co. were productive, but only in a real football sense. They were reqiured to perform on only 6 third and longs. The running game is very reliable in Indy. They no longer pass first as the Eagles do, they truly allow their defense to set the table and their running game to make dinner. Peyton is a still a spectacular (real) QB, making audilbles and decisions that would baffle Mike Martz, but his role has changed. He wants to win a chip, and Dungy has sold him that game management and pace will win out over a fireworks display. I'll give Houston very little pub. They suck beyond belief. They have no offensive lineman of true note. They have drafted and prepared their defense to fail. With the exception of Daunte Robinson they have no pro-bowl caliber players on D. This was all realized last week when the ball boy ran for a buck after sean alexander was done molesting them. Trust sense and numbers here, Edge will rape them, Peyton will dick sauce them. The final score will be around 41-16.

-Good plays; Obviously watch for Edge to literally butt rape these fools. Dom Capers should be selling text books somewhere, he shouldnt be allowed near a football field. Marvin puts up very solid numbers, better than so far, P. Bucchanon and Daunte Rob often switch coverage schemes and will not be able to stick with either Reggie or Marvin, but Harrison will come out on top here. I say 130, 7 grabs and a touch. Reggie gets 6-80 and no touch. I like Dallas Clark too, in general he is a shit head but he will perform against the lumbering Texans LB's. Pay attention to Dominik Davis, hes a stud. He performs despite the 3rd grade offensive scheme. Has anyone watched the Texans? They dont even max protect Carr. He hits the ground more than Baghdad school children (that was bad). I mean fuck, get this kid a vest or some shit, he's on pace to have the most sacks ever. Dont start any Texan with confidence besides Davis. Even then his value lies in reception leagues. I endorse Peyton for 265 and 2TDs, but he may not be playing in the 4th, due to a gaping ass wound of a victory. ps; in reception leagues watch for Gaffney coming off a 10 catch game.

Bmore at Chicago;

- Both of these teams disgust me fantasy wise. This is like watching your parents fuck, wait thats actually disgusting, but its close. Wow, wait, thats really really not cool. But lets run with it anyway. Both teams have ridiculous defensive speed. Bmore has largely dissapoined as both a defense/special teams and as an offense (if you can call them that). The offensive genius that is Brian Billick (mastermind of the late 90's Vikings, also known as D.Green) has done little to support that moniker. I, no really I could prepare a better offense than Billick; he has a top offensive line, solid TE, two new but solid Wr's, two solid varied backs. His problem is he's such an arrogant cock brain that he cant admit that he needs a QB. He never addressed this. He's had years to do so. He's drafted safety's, lineman, recievers all very high, though he never addresses QB. He is a complete ego turd. He will not be there in two years because he never allowed humility to set in. Watch Chicago win because Lovie Smith allows his talent to perform. They have a great running game going with the incredibly surprising Thomas Jones. Staving off Benson all season, with no signs of relenting. It's like the Chargers QB situation; can you sit a winner? Watch the two defenses duke it out, while Bmore wins out in desperation. Although Billick's offense will still place him as a complete shit stain.

-Good Plays; How can you endorse Jamal Lewis? he hasn't done anything this year. I thought prison made you diesel and hard. It made Jamal soft, "give me your cocktail, fruit". In any case, its Chester Taylor who has a penchant for the long run. There's been speculation that Taylor will cut into his carries, but again Billick is too stuborn to allow for adjustment, so that wont happen enough to matter. Play Mason, he gets solid totals in reception leagues, and along with Heap they are the only plays in the Bmore offense that are solid. Thomas Jones may not go nuts, but he will get his touch and close to a buck on the ground. Both defenses are solid in both run and pass, but Bmore is against the ropes with bot Pitt and Cinci ahead of them. I like Bmore in a gross game. The fg's will be flying so watch out, and Bmore may get a defensive TD off of Orton.

San Diego at Philly

-Reid is stellar coming off the bye. He has lost 4 of his last 5 going into the bye, and has won all 5 coming out. I'm honestly concerned here though. The bolts have a prolific running game and a QB that doesent hold the ball long. They also have this guy named Gates, and we all know the eagles are shitty against the TE (Gonzo being the exception). It's the Chargers secondary that gets them in trouble. Quentin Jammer was the 5th pick of the draft a few years back, and he may be moved to safety after the season due to his lack of pure coverage skills. The Chargers have had a brutal schedule so far and may be tired from so many tough match-ups. The Birds will win because they must. A loss would be devastating to the ego of the team. In reality they've been largley outplayed this season. I hope the Cowboy game woke them from their slumber, because LT is wide awake. The birds need this game though, so look for a dramatic win based on a second half slowing of LT and McNabbs ability to get big plays to TO and a few to G.Lewis.

-Good Plays; TO is a monster, the best at his position by far. Same with LT and Gates. Don't worry about the Gates game last week (2 catches). He will rebound (pun) from the Raiders game and get high yardage, and with him a TD is never far away. Donnie Mac will get his too, 3 TDs in the most pass heavy offense ever. B West must contend with a fast LB core but he'll get his looks, and will break a long TD lining up in the slot. I'm warry of both defenses here. I do think though that Brees will through a int or two. So dont play Brees unless you must. AJ Feely returns to hold the clipboard. A sleeper concern here is the Chargers return game, Sproles is a great return man, can anyone say Ryan Moates?

Nice Pass Brooks
golfreason1

New Orleans at St. Louis

-Somehow I like New Orleans. They put together a solid running display against the Falcons (who lost their MLB) and ron Brooks turned it over but didn't kill them. What killed them was allowing a FG attempt to become a TD for the Falcons. This week though they face a reeling Rams team. Ofcourse their offense is prolific. But it lacks consistancy and committment to the run. With a backup coach ( a good thing, while martz has a beat ticker) and backup QB (this queens name is Jamie?), they have little else to do but commit to Jackson and even Faulk. Even without Horn the Saints will move the ball with ease. Stecker is a good change of pace back and is a little bit like Mewelde Moore, he'll get catches too. Watch for Stallworth to continue his quietly solid year. I like the Saints, although they might just shoot themselve again, which seems like a weekly ritual.

-Good Plays; Brooks is a solid play against the sieve defense in St. Louie. I actually said that two weeks in a row, thats scary. Stallworth is a good play, and watch for Hakim who has been solid for two weeks now that Horn is back and forth with his hammy. Devery Henderson is a sleeper canidate as well. A.Smith and Stecker will split carries, with Smith being a valuable goaline play. I hate that since I lost Duece and didn't pick up Smith, a complete fuck up on my part. But in any case play Smith if you need to. I like Steven Jackson to play very well. He should get 30 touches with Bulger out, but I've never seen Martz and or his cronies committ, the only time he did was in the 2002 NFC Championship against the Eagles, and guess what, they won. The Rams recievers are seemingly a big downgrade, but Holt will always get his, but Curtis is not a great play this week. If you consider either defense as a play your huffing freon. Although both kickers will produce with two offenses prone to mistakes.

Kansas City at Miami;

-The Chiefs have been a disapointment in both real and fantasy football. The defense made some quality upgrades, but didn't address the ability to pressure the QB. KC can not hold a lead, and I'm not simply referring to the Philly game, they let the Skins and Raiders come back into games that they were dominating as well. Another major issue is Vermiel. The team is in limbo because he wont be there for much longer. He's gonna pull a Larry Brown on them; create a team that really only he can manipulate then bounce. I love Vermeil, he's a solid coach despite his never ending crying. But the Cheifs have no future QB or recievers. They are a competitive team that will be bad in two years. Miami on the other hand is on the upswing. Sabin is a very promising pro talent, coming from the tutelage of Belichick never hurts. Their defense is aging but they have a promising young offense. They need to address QB obviously and get a possesion reciever to open things up for chambers and randy. KC will take this game though. Miami has been an early surprise but they won't be able to keep up with the KC attack.

-Good Plays; It's hard to say if Ricky or Brown is the better play. I actually think they could both be ok plays in this game. With Sticky Icky getting catches and a goaline look or two. And Ronnie getting more bulk and better totals, with a TD if KC doesent take an early big lead. I like McMichael, although he's settling into his more normal numbers. He will still be a top 5 TE, just not on that crazy Gates like pace he started on. Frerotte is not the worst play here, if you have someone even worse or on a bye, which makes you very bad. Chambers gets many targets, in the mid 40's for the year, I like him to get a TD this week. I cant play the Miami defense here against the high powered Chiefs offense which will explode soon. The good KC plays are Priest, Kennison and yes, despite no evidence to support this, Gonzo, who has been about as big as a bust as can be. He'll get 7 catches and a touch, I hope. Green is a good play, but is gimpy with that splint in his leg. Watch little known and never used Marc Boerigter to play well, with Sammie "shit hands" Parker out for the week.

where have you been?
gonzoringsmall

Tenn at Arizona;

-There's a QB controversy brewing here. McCown has put up monster yardage number since he took over. He has proven to be much more effective than Warner. I can't see how Warner would be the call, fuck loyalty, be loyal to winning. I would play McCown if I was Green and evaluate if he can be your future Qb, since Warner certainly wont be. I'd also be fat old and black but thats the trade off. The Cardinals are the only team right now with two true stud wideouts. With no running game as of yet they look like they might be able to continue. This game will be a shootout. A turnover laden, defensive touchdown shootout. Jones will step up in Bennett's place and looks like he could perform. Super bust Calico may finally get some looks, although he seems clueless out there, with drops and fumbles when he's called on to perform. Chris Brown is a solid fantasy player when healthy, which means he sucks. Really though he's a good play here, but his running style will never work. He runs like he's holding in a shit. Or like Michael Johnson, which is one and the same anyway. I think Fisher is a top coaching talent, his GM fucked him with the cap and he needs a lot of help to get this team back on track. McNair is a warrior but will never be the same it seems. I'd like to say that Zona takes this one with that incredible home field advantage, although I really dont know in this one.

-Good plays; McCown, Fittz and Boldin are all solid plays. With Fittz being the true stud. I can't advocate using Shipp, even though they need to establish the run at some point. Thats about it, besides the top kicker so far Rackers, who, for some reason I used my waiver on this week. I really like Troupe and Jones this week, I would like to see Calico do well but he won't. Brown will get over a buck and a TD again, but isnt a long term solution for your team. I like the Tenn defense in a surprise call, they have a young yet aggressive defense that gets to's and td's. Both kickers will get action in a high scoring affair.

Detroit at Cleveland;

-Detroit is biding it's time till Garcia gets back. Which is a bad sign, waiting for a injury prone canadian leaguer with a major gay lisp to save you. Mooch is a good coach though. But the WR experiment is fucking them, you can't put that much draft value into one position when you have LB and DE needs among others. Especially when Joey goon boy Harrington is your Qb. He doesen't get "" since he's actually a complete goon. Keving Jones is a major bust. Even with bad matchups his yardage totals are gross. I like the Lions defense though, they are average in real football but are oppurtunistic much like the Titans and Giants. Romeo is a future star in the coaching ranks. He seems like he don't take no bullshit. He recently said that no one's job is safe on offense, which is true. The Charlie Frye experiment will begin by week 11. This game is Detroits to lose. Which they often enjoy doing. But I think Mooch has more to cook with right now.

-Good Plays; Jones would be a good play if he wasn't hurt. Despite his horrible start the schedule gets gravy for a while. If he's out Pinner and Bryson share an already shitty attack. I like the Lions defense. Bryant will get good looks, but will have a safety and Bly on him all day. I'm wary of Ruben overall, he hasnt gotten in the endzone yet, but he is a solid backup in fantasy and will get that elusive touch this week. Sit both QBs, and I can't really tell shit about a kicker anyway.

Denver at NYG;

-I hate the stupid poopy face Giants. I really hate them and their North Jersey Bon Jovi douche bag commuting fans. Eat balls. OK, lets get down to it shall we. This is a good fantasy game to evaluate. With both teams having multiple plays all over. The Giants will go as Eli does. Tiki is still a stud, and the defense is better than it has been in years, but Eli will determine their fate. People got all hard over Eli's early success. He torched the weak secondaries of the Rams and Bolts, just as everyone else has. He's still very young, but obviously very talented. I'd let him fuck my future wife just so I could have a Manning too. Really I would. The Shocker is the only Giant I can stomach. Only because I hear from a Miami alum that he smashed a beer on a dudes face in a bar, which is rad. He's on pace for 1200 and 10tds. He will top a G and get 8 if he stays healthy, which is a top 2 or 3 tightend season. The Broncs have a maddening tandem in play at running back. Bell is emerging, but Shannahan wont commit to a single back, which is a real trend in todays NFL. Plummer is now a game manager, he threw for 4G last year, he's averaging less than 200 a game now. His mustache is rumored to be the key to solid play.

mustaches3895

check this out too, save the stache

Good plays; Start Plummer, but be careful with Eli. The Bronco's defensive line is emerging and will get pressure on the Giants. Start Rod Smith and Lelie will get a long play again. Shock nuts is solid and will be a safety valve all day for Eli. Plax is a top 10-12 reciever, though I'm not completely sold on him yet. Take that one monster day out and he's a good #2. I like Bell and Anderson this week, both will get a TD. But Bell will get more totals. The sleeper play is Toomer, who is a solid real reciever with no real fantasy buzz. Play both kickers here. Tiki is obvious, Jacobs has stalled since being an early TD vulture. Denvers defense is solid.

SF at Wash;

-The Alex Smith era has begun. There's no turning back now. The Niners just traded Rattay to the Bucs. The 49ers started the season on a high note, shocking the Rams and competing with the Cowboys. That's all over now. Get ready for some college type scores. Nolan is a very promising coach. But he's got very little to work with. His defense is talented but has major holes in the pass defense. The offensive line is a joke. And a running game would really help the young kid. First off I'm not sold on Smith anyway. He's not a traditional top pick QB. He's not a tall kid and doesen't have the traditional cannon, plus he came out of a shotgun system. The Skins have shown great big play ability with Moss and Cooley as top passing options. Gibbs needs to get a true bruising back and he's good to go. The Portis experiment isn't working, he's a cut back and counter runner in a tackles offense. This will be gross this week.

-Good Plays; play Moss and Brunell with confidence. Cooley can play either RB or TE in most leagues. The great play is the Redskins defense. Watch for Portis to finally get a TD, if he doesent deport him. Play not a single Niner, not even the water boy, they'll all get crushed.

Dallas at Seattle;

-This game is a solid matchup. The Boys are coming in with mad confidence in themselves. They are thinking back to last years monday night slaying of the Hawks when JJ had a 150 and 3tds. This game will be close and will be decided by the last 6 minutes. Shaun will reverse the karma and drop another monster on these cowgirls. Hassleback will manage the game but have modest fanasty numbers. I like the Cowboys playoff chances though, they are tough at home and if JJ can return to form they'll win 10 games. The Hawks could win their division shootin H, its a wrap out west. The Hawks are tough to beat at home, I like them by 3.

-Good plays; Start several key positions from each squad; I like Witten to have another great day, Meshawn and Glenn are solid, with Key getting the TD. Bledsoe and Hassleback are moderate plays, start someone else if you can. I like JJ if he plays, and Shaun even if he doesent. Both kickers will be busy. Joe Jur will get solid totals, and is always a look in the redzone. Despite tons of hype, Stevens is stil a lower tier TE, he'll get ok numbers but relies heavily on TD's. Stay away from both defenses. Go Hawks GO.

Pitt at Cinnci;

-Another good game here. The Bengals have played one good team and lost. The Steelers have played good teams throughout. With Big Ben out you really got a chance to see how valuable he is. If 16-1 wasnt enough for you. The Bengals need to run early, so they can establish a play action attack to free up Chad deep and Perry in the screen. The "Stillers" (burgh accent reqiured) will run run run all over the place. With Bettis back, Cowher realizes he needs to feed the beast at the goaline. If Ward is back I fully expect a Steelers win. They are simply a better team overall. The Cinnci defense is smoke and mirrors for now, give Marv two years or even less and they could contend, literally for a chip. Cowher is given new life with Ben in place, if he gets his hands on a true young stud RB, watch out, this division could be the best in football for years to come.

-Good Plays; Despite the Steelers stout defense, I still like the Bengals offense. Palmer is a must start regardless, he's the top QB in fantasy since McNabb's injury. Chad as well, you need to play him. If TJ is healthy he's a play, but not for big numbers at all. Its tough to call which RB to pick in Cinnci , Rudi is the real football back and Perry the fantasy man. I like Perry to play very well in receptions, he may get their only back TD. Rudi is a truck but so are the Steelers up front. If he hasnt gotten it done against lesser opps why now? Play Ben, he'll get two TDs, and Bettis will get one as well. Parker is a weak play but will get between the 20's yards. Ward is a must play if healthy, since he's the best option in the passing game. I like what Heath Miller has done, he's emerging, early on he was a TD man only, now he's becoming valuable in yards and catches too. Play both defenses, although the Cinncy def is a weak play. The kickers will be used heavily, so start them.

Buff at Oakland;

-Buffalo is a tough team to evaluate. Their defense among the best against the past and worse against the run. Their running game is dope with Willis and their passing has struggles, though it's shaping up. The Raiders are a mess. Their defense blows. Their offense is underperforming big time. Collins has 6 TDs, I thought he'd have that by week three. Jordan is the only stud on that team right now with Moss out. Another very tough game to call. I like the Bills though, they boast an excellent secondary and a solid line. Their linebackers are weak and that kills their run D. Porter needs to prove that he can hold the team over. Watch Gabriel be the better player here. Norv turner had all his ducks in line to have a crazt offense and a shitty defense, instead he has a weak passing game and a shitty defense. The Bills are too balanced here to go against. They could be a surprise wild card club.

-Good Plays; The Bills will feed Willis all day, he could go off, like really off. Holcomb and Moulds are ok plays too, as they have a good connection so far. Evans needs to prove he can be a deep threat, which is tough with Holcombe's arm, Lee misses Drew. I like the Bills defense here, more for their threat in the turnover and return game than in holding the Raiders to low numbers. Collins is a weak play, Jordan is a must start, and Porter gets an upgrade. Gabriel could be the top reciever while Moss is out though. Courtney Anderson is also a play to look to.

Green Bay at Minny;

-Both teams generally blow. With the Packers blowing a little less. Green has a chance to actually have a good game, oh how the mighty have fallen. Daunte is a mess. He obviously has the tools to be a great QB, he just doesent have the running game or talent at wideout to help him. It doesen't help that he has the reincarnaiton of Kotite advising his every move. Green Bay looks to seemingly kill these assclowns. Burleson is back so maybe that helps, who knows. Favre is still a force and should never be questioned, ever. He deserves the benifit of any and all doubts. Tice shouldnt be a coach at all in the league, he's still the lowest paid coach in football and is a big stupid harry and the henderson motherfucker with a motorolla headset.

-Good plays; Go with Favre and Green. They will produce. Driver and Ferguson get looks all day. I like Franks here too, if he is good to go. Don't play Daunte if you dont have to. Play wiggins and moore, they will be heavy targets of a reeling Daunte. If you must, play Nate as a 3rd reciever, and I like GB's kicking game to be used heavily. The Vikings may be the worst team in football, considering they were supposed to be a real threat out of the NFC, who is a bigger dissapointment than them?

NYJ at Atlanta; monday night

-The Jets head to Atlanta to take an L. Vinny is gonna get it this week. I know Tampa wasn't able to get to him, but Atlanta's pass rush is sick. The only hope is to let Curtis eat clock and yards, which can be accomplished against the Falcons after losing Hartwell for the year. The game will be fairly competitive, since the Jets have a very solid run defense. But the Falcons are tough to beat at home. I attended the Atl Philly game this year and it was loud as shit. I couldnt hear myself shudder as I watched my team get shit dicked. In any case, the Falcons are a very solid team. I know people endorse Schaub as a better QB than Vick. Which in some ways is true, but one thing Vick has always done very well is win. You can not deny a winner. Fantasy wise he's useless, I'd rather have 15 other QB's, maybe more in Fantasy. But in real tackle football, this man is a winner. The Jets need to look long term. They gave up their future runnning back; L.Jordan, which they had to. But they still have no dominant WR or tight end to make up for the eventual drop off when Curtis is gone. I would fire Edwards and bring in a young gun to start all over.

Good plays; Martin is a resurgant force in fantasy. He'll get tons of touches and goaline looks (if they get that far) and remains the only consistant play on the Jets, besides their defense. The recievers are bunk, Coles is a solid reception player, with 90 rec last year, but 1 TD. Are you fucking kidding me? One TD in what would have to amount to over a 120 looks last season. There is something wrong here. Don't trust McCarreins untill he makes you. I like Dunn with a solo role as the back. Vick will be under pressure, and Dunn will get 5 catches or so to go along with a solid ground day. Don't play Vick or any Falcon in the passing game. Even with Crumplers talent, he still only caught 49 passes last year while Gates, Witten, Gonzo, E.Johnson and McMichael all had over 80. Thats a huge gap. Play both defenses and I would assume both kickers. This game is kind of gross, like thos 7-11 pizza rolls, only fuck with them if you must.

Week 6 Review; tomorrow you get the big week 7 preview

My own team is decimated at this point. Injuries run rampant in the NFL, and I have somehow figured out how to consolidate them for my friends. I can however find solace in talking about the players that are healthy and performing. The league is starting to shape up now. We are starting to learn who is a good play and who has fucked us so far. The NFL is a copy cat league. What works is what works. Teams all over the league have begun to use tandem backs in alarming numbers (for fantasy shit heads). There are only a handfull of uncontested situations in the league.
The league reacts to whats effective and often forces teams to alter their game plan; Indy is now a defensive running team that asks Peyton to manage the game. This man threw me two TD's last year and he is now a game manager. He's still a top 3-5 fantasy QB when it's all said and done, but he's not the top option. Teams reacted to last year. They are jamming the recievers at the line and forcing Edge and his back ups to beat them in the screen and in the running game. Which is working and doesen't seem to be changing. The Broncos gave Cracky McCrackerstein Jake Plummer the ball last year and let him pass with his left arm (though he had 27TDs). That didn't work out. Now their 5-1 by guess what; multiple backs and a revamped defense. The Bengals? revamped defense and multiple backs. They also have the best young QB in the game. The way to find value in a player fantasy wise is to evaluate what his use to his team is. Don't go nuts over a guy who has one great week. Only superstars put up nasty games every week. I'd rather have a player thats an important but unspectacular part of his teams attack than some jabroni who catches two tds one week. It never hurts to stink finger your boys (thats very gay) and steal their players when their hurting. Take a look at targets and touches to get an idea of who is of use to you. I'll post the yahoo link to those stasts when they are released.

Personally I took one in the jaw last week when I was forced to get a running back through trade. But it's never over. Take the adversity as a challenge. Dont be a moop and let injuries ruin your season. It all evens out if you keep your head on a swivel. Play on playa, its only week 7.

Last week I made some predictions, some were off, some were right on. Either way several stories emerged from week 6;
  • Randy Moss injures his groin and puts up a doughnut. Moss fucked me last year with a bad hammy so I know that he can take a while to return from injury. Moss never missed games in his career untill late last year. For all of his talent, Moss is still quite a bitch when it comes to toughness. He is notorious for shying away from contact and slants across the middle. Don't get me wrong, Moss is an uber talent, but he has his limitations. I would say that TO is clearly the best real and fantasy reciever in football. He is somehow equal parts cock breath asshole and superstar.
moss=short arms across the middle; "for who for what" (the great ricky waters)
fanoctober05
  • Santana Moss and Brunell are great together so far (i cant believe i just said that). There's that funny ESPN ad about that tool who says he likes S. Moss better this year than Randy, and it's all intended to show how oblivious this guy is, well it's aparantly not funny. Santana is on a ridiculous yards pace, with 650 through 5 games (127 per). Think about that.
  • Tony G continues to puzzle me. He got sufficient looks this week (8) and only turned in 2 catches on a KC team that was moving the ball. With all world tackle Roaff back, I assumed they could get last years reception leader (102) some numbers. You have to stick with him, but look for Heath Miller or Putzier as marginal back-ups if your hurting.
  • Alexander is a monster, with 12 rushing TDs in 6 games, after having 16 total last year, which was stellar anyway. The difference is Hassleback is managing games, and not trying to win them.
  • LT, thats all, LT. He (and Brees) were traded on draft day for Mike Vick, who would you rather have?
  • The Edge is surprising with his TDs, he always got crazy totals, but not the goaline looks, he is hurting Peyton's value badly.
  • Once again Lamont Jordan is the single best #2 RB in fantasy football, he can be your #1 too, but he was drafted in the majority of leagues as a 2. He can get no TD and still put up great numbers with his reception totals.
  • Chris Perry continues to cut into Rudi's value. Perry was a Heisman finalist and is a great screen pass threat. Without a last minute TD off a turnonver Rudi would have been weak again. But Rudi is still a solid #2, but handcuff him too Perry if you can.
  • My best sleeper call last week was Patrick Pass, now I obvioiusly didnt know that Dillon was out. But regardless this guy is impressive in the screen game and has been the most effective valve for Brady so far.
  • Tatum Bell is now the better play in Denver. I can't imagine how the Bronco's staff can sit him. He's explosive and is breaking big plays.
  • Brooks put up a good game despite his rampant meth use and penchant for 12 year old thai boys, as did Smith and Stecker (sans meth), I'd like to see this continue before you can trust the Saints, but keep them on your squad.
  • Curtis Martin is back to being a #2 back after last years incredible numbers. I like Curtis, he's a Pitt Panther and a solid dude. Plus he's in an offense that needs him desperately.
  • I'll do a complete week 6 preivew tomorrow, although the site may be much different due to its never ending tech issues.

Studs/Sleepers/Busts 10/13

This isn't the full post, I'm still learning how to do this, so bare with me, I'll finish this post tonight, so for now, it's mostly text.

Studs;

QB;
  • Peyton seems obvious here, I can't imagine him continuing this trend, he'll still have 30 TD's this year, which is where he's been his whole career untill last year. (2003=29tds)
  • Palmer is obvious as well, he's good for high yards and 2TDs, Rudi may actually get one too
  • Brunell will produce, playing from behind early at KC
  • McNair grabs a couple TDs, but watch for int's as he's forced to play catch up
  • Both Eli and Bledsoe, this will expose both secondarys
  • Bulger is a shit head but he produces fantasy numbers; he'll give you 2tds and 2int
RB;
  • Sean Alexander will roll, with a minimum of 115 and 2TDs
  • The Edge will get in the endzone and keep up his yard totals
  • Watch Lamont Jordan continue to rack up great totals if no rushing yards, hes good for atleast 1TD
  • Willis gets 2TDs
  • Jamal Lewis finally pays off, one TD and tons of ground game
  • Dom Davis is a reception monster, look for him to be a safe play all year
  • Tiki is the best #2 RB in all of ffb, he will get 25+ touches every week, shame on all of us who didn't draft him.
  • Steven Jackson continues to get TDs but suffers from his teams lack of commitment to his talents, even though Martz has a beat ticker.

Me on tuesdaty afternoon;

WR/TE

  • Santana is no longer a sleeper, he's a near lock for a solid game here in KC
  • Muhsin will get in the endzone once with nice yards too (both min cb's are out)
  • Bennett continues to be frosty white and he'll produce high yards, no TD though
  • D. Mason is a great reception guy, and will find the endzone on Cle
  • Play both colts;this is an absolutlety retarded matchup
  • The obvious plays; Chad is better than you thought, with 2tds and a camera dick smack as his next trick, he recdently said he's gonna get countrty on mutherfuckas when hes in Nashville, all chad owners rejoice, he is the ultimate asshole. Torry(watch his injury), Randy is sick and will fuck my squad in week 6, Plax is good for 90 and a TD,
  • Gates is a fucking beast, he won me a chip last year and he's still #1, Gonzo is a strong play though, DC has a great methodical defense, but they'll allow tony to burn them for his first big day.
  • Sadly, since I was forced to trade him, Witten will grab 7 cathes and a TD as he proves himself as a true fantasy force at TE
  • If Vick (hopefully schaub) can exploit it; Crumpler will be able to beat NO all day as their safeties are depleted.

Sleepers;

  • Jurevicius is a strong play again this week, against a small Houston secondary, hes a great redzone target at 6-5
  • Lee, yes Lee Evans may get a long TD this week
  • Terry Glenn continues to look like a mulato elf and scores a TD with great yards
  • Branch will reach the endzone too, even with Champ on him
  • Some how Dillon is a sleeper, get 2TDs out of him, although he's not the same.
  • Watch for David Patten in the KC game, hes a great target in the cover 2
  • Chris Henry will rack up yards with no TD this week
  • Although Im not sold on him, Troy Williamson will get a huge play in the Bears game
  • DJ Hackett is a little known 4th reciever for Seattle; I gaurantee he gets 5 catches again this week, he's forced to be the number 2 in seattle, and Hassleback is playing his best football, not producing a single turnover since week one, look for Jeramy Stevens to catch 4 passes and a TD, as he continues to fuck you over on your bench.
  • Ben Troupe has been a mad underated force, with 19 catches and 3 TDs he is a top rated TE, he has been described by ESPN Draft Mag as; "2005's Gates", watch for this TE to grab 10Tds this season, as McNair has always fed TE's.
  • Keep an eye on Brandon Jones (TEN), a rookie from OK who can play, he took Tyrone "Small Balls McGrizaws" Calico's spot as the #2 next to casper in TN, this guy can fly and is a sleeper who will catch 6TDs or more this season, look at him as this years Lee Evans.
  • Watch Patrick Pass, a little known fullback for the Pats, he's had two quality games in the last three, and is the best screen play back left after Kevin Faulk got injured
  • Travis Taylor continues to be the number 1 in Minnesotta, which still isnt impressive, but he's produced in that role, so he's a good play if you need bye week/injury help.
Busts;

  • Don't be surprised when Delhomme has a poor day, the Detroit secondary is strong at home and Smith has been shutdown twice this year.
  • Mike Clayton, still recovering from a shoulder injury, he still sees much of the safety pressure as Caddy struggles to keep them honest.
  • Don't play denvers overrated defense, they will get the dills from Brady
  • Stokely will continue to hurt you
  • Who knows when Andre Johnson will produce? healthy or not he's been a bust
